The holidays may be over, but wow, what a great holiday season it was! Time to relax and enjoy good times with family and friends. Happy New Year, and may 2015 bring you great happiness and prosperity!
Nicki Minaj is New Face of Roberto Cavalli
Who knew?? We’ve all seen Nicki Minaj as the outrageous, risk-taking diva rapper in wild costumes, but she is stepping into the high fashion world as the face of Roberto Cavalli’s Spring/Summer 2015 ad campaign.
Minaj will also be endorsing Cavalli’s luxury eyewear, accessory line, and ready-to-wear line. The photos were shot by Italian photographer Francesco Carrozzini. The images were posted on Minaj’s Instagram, with the hashtag #NickiForCavalli.
Roberto Cavalli chose Minaj to front the campaign, as he believes she represents the “exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman.”
Victoria Beckham Announces Nail Polish Line
So, what hasn’t Victoria Beckham done? Nail color, apparently! The 40 year old fashion mogul is about to add a line of nail polish to her ever expanding fashion empire, collaborating with British nail varnish company Nails Inc. on two limited edition nail colors.
The polishes will come in red and white, inspired by the Japanese flair in her latest Victoria for Victoria Beckham Spring/Summer 2015 collection. The polish has been fortified with bamboo extract for stronger nails, and comes in a stylish matte bottle. The polish is available for $25 on the Nails Inc. website.
Madonna Face of Versace for Spring 2015 Campaign
Before the likes of Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus, there was another controversial figure that created shockwaves through the music world. In fact, she opened the door for these ladies!
Yes, the original pop icon herself Madonna will be making a comeback, gracing the pages of spring fashion magazines as the face of Versace’s Spring 2015 campaign. This isn’t her first rodeo — she has worked with the brand for over 30 years, and this will be her fourth time modeling for the brand. She also happens to be good friends with Donatella Versace.
It is also rumored that Madonna will be releasing a new album for 2015, so we’ll have more to look forward to with the original Queen of Pop!
The photos for the Spring 2015 campaign were shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Check out some of Madonna’s old Versace campaign ads from years past.

Happy Throwback Thursday!
I just adore old fashion magazines! I get inspired by the original styles of the past, so I thought I’d share a little vintage love for Throwback Thursday. Here’s the April 1970 cover of UK Vogue featuring Jean Shrimpton, decked out in the flowers of spring and summer. Photographed by legendary photographer Barry Lategan, the cover evokes an earthy sensuality.
Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2014: All the Glitz and Glamour
From shimmering, angelic looks to hot musical acts, nothing was left to chance at the 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Taped in London and airing on CBS December 9th, the annual show provides an inordinate amount of glamour, glitz, and angel wings! The event is an opportunity to showcase the famous lingerie brand to the world.
Strutting down the runway in everything from fitted bustiers to shimmery bodysuits, the models (famously known as the Victoria’s Secret Angels) were all adorned with wings made of various materials. Joan Smalls came out in a peacock-inspired ensemble with red and blue bangles on each arm.
One of the most elaborate sets was worn by Lindsay Ellingson, who came out with gold origami-inspired wings.
Some outfits deviated from the norm. Lily Aldridge came out with three oversized powder puffs instead of wings.
Karlie Kloss came out with butterfly wings, complementing her gold bustier.
And, who can forget the Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bras? Valued at $2 million each, the bras are set in 18-karat gold, and are made with diamonds, rubies, and blue sapphires. Created by jeweler Pascal Mouawad, the bras were adorned by Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio, and marked the first time two bras were showcased.
Pop stars Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Ariana Grande strutted their musical chops on the stage. It was a close call for Grande, who nearly got hit by the angel wings of Elsa Hosk!
